Intro

The Studio Associato Evenstudio is an Italian based architecture and design firm. Operating across many scales, our intention is to highlight the creative aspect of the projects according to the principles of semplicity, functionality and respecting the social and cultural contexts. We perceive the planning as a refinement process and we believe in the communicative and evocative role of architecture.

When we deal with foreign contexts - as we did in Europe, Africa, South America - we believe it is necessary to integrate our Italian sensibility with the study and the understanding of the history and the culture of the countries where we are going to work. We also think that every place has its own identity that should be preserved and respected.

Our projects are based on careful analyses aimed at avoiding two opposite risks: the use of an anachronistic globalised style, which doesn’t pay attention to the context, and an acritical reproduction of the style of a specific country. Our purpose is to develop solutions suitable for the specific places and for the world of today.

Our projects, both in Italy and abroad, derive mostly from frequent meetings with the clients: we believe it is essential to know each other and to work closely together at the projects from the start to the end. We believe architecture is not about a raw semplification or the use of ready-made solutions. In our opinion the design process should come from a team of professionals who work side by side with the clients. Moreover, we think it is important to be physically present in every context in which we operate.

Our team consist of valuable architects and engineers: our knowledge of the industrial and artisanal fields allows us to offer technical solutions and to do with the local firms. We are able to manage projects on various scales, from the feasibility study to the architectural details, from interior design to graphic design.

About

We believe in the importance of a good workflow to keep the project, the timeline and the costs under control. We are used to work step by step and to involve in every phase of the planning the people and the firms engaged. Though mantaining a flexible approach, our main schedule is: study of the architectural history and the culture of the places; analysis of the context and perception of the spirit of the place (genius loci); meetings with the clients and preliminary study for the definition of the requirements, the goals and the desires, to define the direction to follow; preliminary proposal (sketches, plants, view, suggestions) that allows to meet the customer expectations. We think this is a foundamental step and we want to take the adequate time, believing that architects should guide collaboration rather than impose solutions; preliminary design with an estimated structural analysis, cost analysis and indications about materials and technology; final design, possibly provided with: bill of materials, material analyses, development of custom technologies; structural analysis, possibly developed with local firms; detailed cost and timetable analysis related to the planning process; previsions for the execution of works and its criticalities; proposals of trusted Italian companies and technologies, with the opportunity for the local companies to develop effective partnerships.
